Farm-industry businesses across the region are three days into a five-day virtual event that aims to reproduce a Wimmera Machinery Field Days experience. 

Businesses have joined The Weekly Advertiser, 3WM and MIXX FM for ACE Radio network’s AgLife Digital event – filling a trading void caused by the cancellation of the 2021 field days. 

A contingent of Wimmera businesses have invited industry professionals to ‘talk shop’ with customers as well as provide demonstrations and farm machinery ‘come-and-drive’ opportunities. 

ACE Radio Broadcasters Horsham sales manager Mark Sulic invited Wimmera people to take advantage of participating businesses’ in-store events throughout this week. 

“This event is just warming up and we are overjoyed with how it’s been running so far,” he said.

“We are thankful Wimmera-
Mallee farm-industry businesses jumped at this opportunity. 

“And after farmers experienced a couple of great years in crop production in our region, we wanted to try to recreate some of that buzz the field days normally generates.” 

Radio presenters Adam Roche from 3WM and MIXX FM’s Kaycee Bould have joined businesses throughout the week to provide the region with live-to-air interviews about business promotions and the agricultural industry.

The network is also encouraging people to visit an AgLife website, aglife.com.au, to enter into a draw to win a $200 Shop Horsham gift card. People can also enter a colouring competition to win one of five $50 vouchers from Toyworld Horsham.
