Halls Gap's Grape Escape goes online

Organisers of a major wine and food festival in the region are urging people to continue to support growers and makers this weekend.

Grampians Grape Escape wine and food festival will go online after the COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of the festival's main event.

This weekend in Halls Gap would normally be bustling with thousands of people enjoying some of the finest wines in the country.

Although the only ‘grape escaping’ people can do this weekend will be from the kitchen to the couch, the festival board wants patrons to enjoy the spoils of the Grampians, Pyrenees and Henty regions, while supporting businesses doing it tough.

Band 19-Twenty, which had been scheduled to perform at the weekend, will instead be live-streaming a show via a Grampians Grape Escape Facebook page on Saturday night.

Board members have confirmed the online event will include large discounts from Grampians growers and makers on Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone keen to view offers go online to www.grampiansgrapeescape.com.au/exhibitor-offers/ and follow the Grampians Grape Escape Facebook and Instagram pages for more details.
