LETTER: It’s ‘Jeparadise’

It’s ‘Jeparadise’

SIR, – In reference to the story ‘Fresh Opportunity’, The Weekly Advertiser, May 6, regarding Hindmarsh Shire Council mayor Rob Gersch’s belief a desire for ‘quality of life’ will open a growth opportunity door for the Wimmera-Mallee.

This is why we opened Golden Wattle Visas, a physical and internet business in Jeparit.

We prefer our office up here because we can still work with clients while having quality of life in Jeparit.

We do not have to have a business that makes millions. People’s lives are more important than money.

Professional services not able to be run from Jeparit is not true. Even a small home business can be run from anywhere.

We have internet here that is better than what we get in Melbourne.

They do not call Jeparit ‘Jeparadise’ for no reason.

It is a paradise for families, singles, businesses and we live where people love coming for a holiday too!

Work to live. Do not live to work.

Yes we have an office in Melbourne but no way can it compare with the office we have in Jeparit.

Quality is far better than quantity.

Rob asked us, ‘why Jeparit?’ when we first moved up here years ago.

We moved here for the land, river, four miles of beach, the small town, the air, the community, to have a life and be all that we can be. Jeparadise!
