CANCER-FREE FUTURE: From left, Trish Deleeuw, Carmel Officer and Tracey O’Callaghan officially launch the 2021 Horsham and District Relay for Life.
This year’s campaign is a little different due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will culminate in a virtual event on April 18.
Twenty teams and 229 participants have signed up to raise money towards Cancer Council’s research, prevention, information and support services.

Mrs Officer read the Relay for Life oath and cut the ribbon at a ceremony on her Horsham property.
Participants also enjoyed morning tea. The relay’s long-term aim is a cancer-free world for future generations.
