Students ready to lead at Murtoa

READY TO LEAD: Shanyka Mitchell and Matilda Horvat are school captains of Murtoa’s Our Lady Help of Christians primary school for 2021.

Maddison Asplin and Max Finnigan will join the student leaders as media captains this year.

School principal Cathy Grace said students were excited to make a return to class.

“We have had a magnificent start to the year and all the children have come back with lots of stories about their holidays,” she said. “It has been such an exciting time reconnecting with our beautiful children who were obviously ready to come back to school.”

Statewide COVID-19 lockdown restrictions prevented regular classes this week. Matilda, left, and Maddison are pictured with Mrs Grace and Monsignor Glynn at the school’s opening service.
