Mr Buchanan said it was a step in the right direction.
“They were apologetic, and they could see the complications of the issue,” he said.
“They were very friendly and their motive was to get it open and running again in whatever capacity we could get in the short term, with the intention of getting it sorted out.
“We gave them a list of buildings that we prioritise, and they’ll work on that according to budget, timeline and how severe the damage is.”
Mr Buchanan said he was contacting booking-holders week by week, offering gift vouchers and the new, reduced tours.
“We’ll grow it back from there over the next period of time as they reopen the buildings,” he said.
“We’ll be putting a brief disclaimer up on social media explaining the situation, but when we reopen, we’ll be hitting it hard for sure.”
