UPDATE: Ararat Rural City Mayor Bob Sanders and dental prosthetist Vo Tran admire Ararat Denture Clinic’s updated façade.

Denture clinic latest recipient of façade grant

Ararat Denture Clinic will install new signage after becoming the latest recipient of Ararat Rural City Council’s Façade Grant Scheme.

The clinic at 36 High Street shares its space with Wren Chiropractic, another business that received a façade grant last year.

Through the grant program, the council awards up to $10,000 on a two-to-one matching basis to help businesses refresh their storefronts.

The program is open to new, expanding, or relocating businesses with a street frontage anywhere across the municipality, which can use the money for external upgrades including painting, deep cleaning, replacing doors and windows, installing new signage and adding outdoor lighting, heating or cooling.

“When we invest in local business, the positive ripple effect hits the entire community,” Mayor Bob Sanders said.

“It’s all about working together to give our main street a fresh, welcoming atmosphere that makes locals proud and gives visitors a great first impression.”

Applications for the next round of the Façade Grant Scheme are now open.
