New and existing Hindmarsh Shire businesses have the opportunity to access money to grow and support their venture as part of a business grants program.
Hindmarsh Shire Council’s Business Assistance Grants Program is open for round two applications until February 14.
Mayor Rob Gersch said the program started in 2016 as a way to develop the municipality’s business sector by providing established business with support and new business start-up funding. He said this had previously seen businesses successfully apply for assistance with staff training, website development, signs, marketing and shopfront improvements.
The program is split into two categories – ‘business development’, which includes support such as home-business expansion and mentoring, and ‘streetscapes’, which is open to existing businesses to improve the exterior of their building.
