Grease opening night near

Ararat Regional Theatre Society is encouraging people to not be a beauty school dropout, and instead be like greased lightning and book their tickets to the June production of Grease now.

The large cast of experienced performers and newcomers have been rehearsing since February and are soon to move rehearsals to Ararat Town Hall, in preparation for opening night on Friday, June 19.

Director Russell Purdie said he was excited for Ararat audiences to see the brilliant cast bring the popular story and songs of Grease to life.

“You are guaranteed a night of high-energy dancing, songs you know and will definitely sing along to and just a fun night overall,” he said.

“I also want to do a big shout out to the production team, who have been busy building sets, sewing costumes, choreographing dances, teaching vocals and carrying out the many, many jobs behind the scenes that enable this show to come to life on the stage.”

People wanting to enjoy a quality night out at local theatre can get their tickets at ararattownhall.com.au, by phoning 1800 657 158 or visiting Ararat and Grampians Visitor Information Centre, adjacent to the Ararat Gallery.

Grease will be staged at Ararat Town Hall from June 19 to 28, with two matinees.
