East Grampians Health Service Ararat’s Christine Perry and Wimmera Health Care Group’s Dr Yvonne Cymbalist have both been recognised for 35 years of service.

Rural Workforce Agency Victoria chief executive Lauren Cordwell said the awards were an important opportunity to celebrate the commitment, collaboration and care that underpins rural health services across the state.

“These awards are about recognising the people who keep rural healthcare moving forward every day, often quietly, often under pressure, but always with purpose and care,” she said.

“What we see in this year’s finalists is a workforce that is adapting, innovating and continuing to show up for their communities in meaningful ways.”

Winners will be announced at 6pm on June 25. People can register to watch the awards online at www.rwav.com.au/victorian-rural-health-awards-2026
