Horsham Carols by Candlelight organisers prepare for weather call

Organisers of Horsham's Carols by Candlelight are monitoring weather forecasts for the Sunday event as they prepare for the possibility the show might be moved to Horsham Town Hall.

The annual carols show typically attracts more than 2000 people to Horsham's Sawyer Park, but with Bureau of Meteorology forecasts predicting a 60 percent chance of rain on Sunday there is a chance it could be moved indoors.

A contingency plan is for the carols to be held at the Horsham Town Hall theatre, with live streams available for people to watch at Horsham's Harvest Church and Church of Chirst.

A final decision on the venue will be made either tomorrow night or Saturday morning.

Organiser Simon Dandy said a decision needed to be made early to ensure enough time for setup.
