Hospice auxiliary: it is a privilege to assist

Wimmera Hospice Care Auxiliary hosted a fashion parade on Wednesday last week, raising money to support Horsham’s palliative care service.

Models volunteered their time for the fashion parade, exhibiting designs from Horsham’s Maria Da Ros Fashions.

Auxiliary members provided an afternoon tea of scones, slices and sandwiches for attendees, with several raffle prizes totalling about $500 on offer.

First prize, a $150 clothing voucher donated by Maria Da Ros Fashions, went to Dianne Sinclair.

Ellen Cutter won a selection of locally made condiments from Horsham’s Chickpea Cafe with the second prize, while the third prize of a tea and coffee package went to Val Eldridge.

Auxiliary member Lea Crammond said the group was thrilled with the response to its event.

“Our auxiliary truly believes it is a privilege to assist with palliative care giving,” she said.
