Horsham College chaplaincy committee’s fundraising book fair is on again, opening on Friday from noon until 9pm, then continuing on Saturday from 9am until noon.
The committee’s biggest fundraiser of the year, the event contributes 60 per cent of chaplain Yolande Grosser’s four-day-a-week wage, and is assisted by community partners Wastebusters and Rotary Horsham.
In her role, Mrs Grosser works with students one-on-one, provides a Brekky Hub, Faith Fans lunchtime group, and special events such as last term’s Harmony Week Fiesta and next term’s RUOK? Day.
The book fair is at the college’s Maroske Hall on Dimboola Road; adults’ books are $1 each, children’s books are 50 cents each, and payment is by cash only.
