Ms Streeter said there would be a lunch at the Leopold Hotel followed by a hot-dog and movie afternoon at Astor Cinema, with a screening of family-friendly Goat.
“Saturday evening, there’s band Stompin’ 88s at the town hall, and another band playing at the Leopold – they’ve been kind enough to put a band on for us there,” she said.
“Sunday is the biggest day, where it all comes together. We will have four bands playing that day, as well as the car, truck and motorbike show.
“There is lots of entertainment for the kids, including jumping castles and a wildlife display.”
Ms Streeter said the festival committee appreciated people came from interstate for the festival.
“The great thing about Jailhouse Rock is a lot of people come from afar,” she said.
“It’s just great to see people come and support the town of Ararat.”
Ms Streeter said the weekend’s raffle included meal vouchers and tickets to local attractions, which would bring people back to the region.
“The greatest thing is that people will come back, and they’ll utilise those,” she said.
“Next year’s festival is probably going to be bigger because it’ll be the 30th year, so that’s rather exciting too.”
Tickets for the town hall performances are available from Ararat Town Hall, while people can pay for Sunday’s activities at Ararat Turf Club at the gate.
“It’s really affordable – a family is $25, adult $10, children 12 to 18 years are $5, and children aged 11 and under can enter free of charge,” she said.
