Wimmera sighthounds and their owners are invited to join Horsham’s first Great Global Greyhound Walk on September 27.
Starting in the United Kingdom to raise awareness of retired greyhounds as family pets, last year 16,562 sighthounds took part across 659 walks in 47 countries.
Horsham event organiser Brandi Galpin said she was ‘obsessed’ with sighthounds.
“I just think they’re the best dog ever because they’re clean, they’re funny, they’re cute, and they have very good manners,” she said.
“I reckon I’ve met about 20 sighthounds around Horsham. Sighthounds seem to like other sighthounds – it’s like a private club.”
