SIR, – What are the legal ramifications if an AFL player receives a head knock and then tries to exceed his or her authority in convincing a doctor and umpires that they can continue playing?
If the player later collapses from bleeding on the brain, are the doctor and umpires liable?
A player who tries to exceed his or her authority should be given a suspension.
