SIR, – We write as very concerned citizens of the proposed amalgamation of the Wimmera Health Care Group and Ballarat Health Services.
Wimmera Health Care Group is an important provider of health services to Horsham and the wider Wimmera community.
We feel there has been a lack of communication and consultation regarding this proposal and call on WHCG board to extend the community consultation period to allow the Wimmera community to have its say on the future of this vital service.
We are also calling on our community across the Wimmera, whether they be local governments, businesses and associations, hospital-support groups, service clubs, sporting groups, churches and so on to write to the WHCG board about their concerns.
