People can now receive comprehensive dental scans at Nhill Hospital, with a new state-of-the-art dental x-ray machine installed.
The machine, known as an Orthopantomogram or OPG, can provide multiple angled panoramic x-ray images of both the lower and upper jaw, allowing for a thorough investigation of consumer’s dental health.
West Wimmera Health Service chief executive Ritchie Dodds said the x-ray machine was a key piece of equipment used by dental surgeon Sean Hogan, therefore making the investment imperative.
“It means people in our communities can access this service more locally rather than having to travel significant distances otherwise,” he said.
