Northern Grampians Shire Council is inviting expressions of interest from contractors for inclusion on its Fire Prevention Contractor Panel.
The Fire Prevention Contractor Panel is a list of preferred contractors who can perform fire-prevention works on behalf of the council. The contractors will provide fire-hazard clearance and fuel-mitigation works in the shire.
Work might include mowing, slashing and garden maintenance and fire-prevention works might be ongoing. This means when a contractor joins the panel they might receive work beyond the 2020-21 fire danger period.
Qualified contractors have until September 30 to apply online at www.ngshire.vic.gov.au/fire. The council will notify successful applicants by October 16.
