Opportunity for ‘tiny towns’ grants

Member for Lowan Emma Kealy is urging small communities across western Victoria to apply for funding under the Tiny Towns program.

Grants range from $5000 to $50,000 and are aimed at infrastructure projects such as playgrounds, community hall and library upgrades, hiking trails and splash parks.

Community and non-profit groups and councils in towns with a population of up to 5000 people can apply.

Ms Kealy said tiny towns were the backbone of many regional areas, providing a crucial hub for many people living in the country, as well as an attractive destination for tourists.
