“This music provides the opportunity to pause our busy lives, sit quietly and listen deeply. Luke and I will start with a short solo set each, and then come together at the end, blending piano, synth and ambient electronics.”
Ararat mayor Jo Armstrong said audience members could tour the Ararat Gallery TAMA prior to the performance.
She said people should gather at Ararat Town Hall at 6.30pm for the gallery walk-through before the performance from 7.30pm.
“For the first time, Ararat Town Hall is teaming up with Ararat Gallery TAMA for a special after-hours viewing of their exhibitions prior to the performance,” Cr Armstrong said.
“It’s wonderful to see Ararat Town Hall continue to deliver a vibrant culture scene all year-round, and we encourage everyone to get out and enjoy what’s on offer.”
The performance is part of the town hall’s winter program, supporting live music events across the region.
The program includes Ararat Musical Comedy Society performances of ‘Ladies in Black’ until June 26, soul singer Hannah Acfield on June 29 and blues icon Lloyd Spiegel on July 20, a family-friendly circus performance from FoRT on July 5 and comedy show ROLF on July 23.
Cr Armstrong said tickets and more information was available online at www.ararattownhall.com.au.
