WHEELY FUN: Scott’s BMX Trick Bike Show will feature in Kaniva next month.

Shows travelling to Kaniva

Through successfully obtaining a grant, Kaniva LINK Neighbourhood House will host two different performances at Kaniva Shire Hall in July and October.

Scott’s BMX Trick Bike Show, at 2.30pm on July 2, will showcase BMX stunts with the pulse of a live three-piece rock band direct from Circus Oz.

The family-friendly spectacle combines incredible athleticism, world-class skills, foot-stomping live music, fun, excitement and adventure that will captivate audiences of all ages.

Scott Hone, a world-renowned BMX trick rider, takes the audience on an inspiring journey from his first childhood bike to the heights of circus fame.

Riding forwards on the front wheel, backwards upside down, and spinning in ways you never thought possible.

Hone’s performance isn’t just a show about tricks – it’s a powerful story of perseverance, creativity and following your dreams while embracing life’s adventures.

Tickets to the show cost $5 each, or $20 for a family.

In October, Songs for Halls will feature songs inspired by country life with a song written especially for Kaniva.

Award-winning singer-songwriters Charles Jenkins and David Cosma perform an intimate show with original songs about land and country, suburbs, country towns and life in Australia.

Their performances focus on all things beautiful in Victoria, with songs about towns’ landmarks and local and indigenous history.

Before each performance, the songwriters visit each town to gather inspiration and stories to create a new song about the town, which is premiered during the performance.

At the end of the tour, the new songs are recorded to create an album specific to regional Victoria.
