Travis Hair to lead Horsham cricket

Travis Hair is the incoming president of Horsham Cricket Association for the 2022-23 season.

He will be supported by secretary Josh Miller, treasurer Mark Thomas and board member Andrew Sostheim.

Mr Hair takes on the role from Josh Mahoney who was vice-president and president in the past two years.

The association is looking to appoint a vice-president in the coming weeks.

Mr Hair said he was looking forward to the many new things the association would introduce during the season.

“We’re doing the work to get an open-age women’s league off the ground and more people on board, which will be terrific,” he said.

“We’re also looking at a few changes in the men’s competition, including bringing back two-day cricket.

“The association is also looking to welcome back a club that hasn’t had a team for several years, so Natimuk at this stage will be fielding a side.

“That’s great for cricket, for association and for the Natimuk community.”

Mr Hair said the season fixture was yet to be released but the start date would likely be mid-October.
