A woman was found at a fast food outlet in Horsham with no valid reason for being outside her restricted area is one of 152 people fined by Victoria Police for COVID-19 breaches.
The woman was found after multiple calls to the police assistance line nominated the woman for visiting the area every two weeks.
Police issued 152 fines to individuals for breaching the Chief Health Officer directions, including 17 for failing to wear a face covering when leaving home for one of the four approved reasons, 20 at vehicle checkpoints and 55 for curfew breaches.
Police checked 16,956 vehicles at vehicle checkpoints and conducted 1,009 spot checks on people at homes, businesses and public places across the state.
