Horsham records third COVID-19 case in two days, one in Northern Grampians

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Wimmera has risen overnight to four, with Horsham now with three and Northern Grampians, one.

All other Wimmera municipalities officially remain free of active cases.

Latest Department of Health and Human Services figures show the state recorded 317 new cases overnight.

Official updated figures show that of the 4750 cases of COVID-19 in Victoria, 4310 are from metropolitan Melbourne and 311 from regional Victoria.

Of all cases, 902 might indicate community transmission; 2128 cases are active;109 cases are in hospital, including 29 in intensive care, and 2591 people have recovered from the virus.

The total number of cases include 2499 men and 2233 women and authorities have processed almost 1.226-million tests.
