Interstate golf event in Nhill

Nhill Golf Club will play host to some of the best country golfers from Victoria and South Australia in a two-day tournament this weekend.

Country representative teams of 10 from each state will battle it out in a variety of formats, including foursome, four-ball best-ball and individual match play.

For the first time the best two female players from each state will be included in the teams.

The inaugural women’s representatives for Victoria are Casey Wild from Wodonga Golf Club and Steffi Vogel, Cobram Barooga Golf Club, while the South Australian representatives are Deb Christie from Lameroo Golf Club and Jess Reynolds from Willunga Golf Club.

The Wimmera is represented in the Victorian side by Adam Tribe from Halls Gap Golf Club.

Nhill Golf Club captain and course superintendent Shane Grover is the team’s assistant manager after having played in the tournament last year.

He said people were welcome to attend both days at the club to watch the high-quality golf on display. 

Tee off is at 8am on both days.
