Roadworks to improve Stawell Road in Horsham

Regional Roads Victoria will start asphalt resurfacing works along a one-kilometre section of the Western Highway in Horsham, between Derry Parade and Wimmera River bridge.

Works to resurface the section of the road, including all north and southbound lanes, will be between 6pm and 7am from February 8 until March 1, weather permitting.

For the safety of all road users and the road contractor the works will be done at night.

This will minimise interaction between construction crews and traffic, and reduce congestion and delays, helping RRV complete the works safely and effectively.

More than 18,000 vehicles use this section of the Western Highway every day and these works will help preserve the quality and longevity of this road for all users.

All lanes on one side of the Western Highway will be closed during the nightworks and both north and southbound vehicles will be directed through the works area by traffic controllers.

Both sides of the highway and all lanes will reopen from 7am each day.

If travelling at night, road users are encouraged plan ahead, allow extra travel time and consider alternative routes.
